HELLO BLOG! It has been an insane year. Where am I even to start? This year has felt so coming of age. Corny, I know. In the past 365 or so days I have had so many incredible opportunities to learn more about myself. I came into this year so confused and honestly I am still a little confused but I feel a little bit more like things will truly be okay. I realized how much agency I really have over my own life. Being released into this year like a dog off leash I kinda just did whatever I wanted. I learned to finally throw away those poor spending habits and SAVE MONEY!! I know, who is she? That bank account and I flew to Europe and had a wonderful summer with my friends. I then came back to the rude awakening that is paying university tuition but that’s irrelevant to this story.

Here is a makeshift photo book of my last few months of my gap year.

Greece...

The clubs! The people! Athens was a little smelly but the energy!!

Portugal...

Lisbon: Beautiful buildings set in slight decay in a romantic poetic kind of way. My favourite meal on the entire trip was the ramen at Panda Cantina I would die to go one last time. I left Lisbon with a love for techno and a resentment of construction.

Spain...

FORTY FIVE DEGREES IN SEVILLE! This city has the best bars to just sit for hours and be in the presence of 100 other people doing the exact same thing. Best to go between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 am and no need to leave your kids with a sitter, there is a playground in the centre of the bar patios so that your kids can have a nice night out too! This city has the most beautiful architecture and Art museum!

and now it's time to return home... we pack our things and say goodbye. We'll be back soon we promise...

come home to a Northumberland Hills summer...

back yard dinners, the cottage, late nights in the suburbs

In Brooklyn with my lovely Ben once again...

Then I return and spend my last few moments of summer filled with nostalgia
